Any organization or individual that has created a Serious Game or simulation since August 2012 using commercial off the shelf (COTS) platforms is eligible to enter a title in the following serious games categories:

The competition honors outstanding examples of single player titles that offer high quality engagement opportunities for the player and measurable training or learning.--

- Education/at home learning
- Government/military training
- Healthcare/medical training
- Business/corporate training/talent development
- Games for good
- Winners will be announced at the
- 2013 Serious Play Conference, August 19-21 2013
- at Digipen Institute of Technology in Redmond, Wash.
